working from home is still pretty cool, even if you do have deadlines..
at least you don't have to put up with co-workers..
I deal with them on the phone and via MSN messenger. The way they keep track of me is when I am signed onto MSN but I have set it so I will never show idle or away.

working from home for a longer period can actually harm your career/profesisonal life...
You loose day to day contact with outside world and its a must have for personal growth. I know many people who tried this but went nutz after few years and went back to corp world..
Although electronic communication is making working from home simple for everyone while not affecting production but I am usually more productive in a work place than my home office..
