iTS a bitch to sell mbox man..I just told mines to someone in india..shitts crazy with it..especially now when u can run ptools with m-audio gear........err.I wonder who would wana use PTools..err yuck!!!!!!
good luck though!!!
ya but sadly only certain maudio devices run it..and ofcourse mine doesnt....I guess if you use cubase or something else that can be imported into PT you probably wouldnt have to conform to the PT rule...
teck man..weighted keys!!! jus remember!! weighted keys!!
Its always ON!
if you had ozone.. i'dve
I think you need to stick to the basics such as google web searching before you go any further in technical details buddy. :confused-Originally Posted by djarpit

I am on logic 7 pro, ofcourse on the mac, since logic doesnt run on pc... I am a midi freak, and use tons and tons of soft synths, and Logic is the best thing out there for incorporating soft synths as audio instruments. I love the whole idea of being able to put fx plugins on midi tracks, Protools is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy behind on midi implementation.
^^ logic 7 is the shizzznit!, i bought the Mbox because i was getting people sending me some pro tools sessions but i never liked the mbox, i'm just gonna downgrade to an M-audio piece for PT stuff... the oxy-8 im sellin cuz i barely use it on the road and i've got an Evolution MK-461c that im more then happy with.... traditionally Logic's been known for MIDI and PT for audio (before Pro Tools only did audio) so that's kinda why PT is behind on the MIDI... they don't really seem to be keen on trying to stay on top of things they have a strong audience already from all the years of them being the leaders, i guess we'll see what happens
Sandeep,
You are absolutely right....I guess thats where logic picked up all the audio tricks and PT guys didnt bother with midi. Believe it or not Logic is pretty sick with audio and since apple owns it..I think everytime u have hardware/software from same company, you are most likely to have the least issues with any kind of setup. If people send you sessions in pro tools format, tell em to use omf or aaf format, that should make life easy working between different apps. dont get it twisted, logic is a hugeeeeee learning curve coming from any other sequencer.....
peace...
yeah I read up on logic....I have my studio setup for PC but I want to have another machine (mac) in the mix and slowly slowly after I learn how mac's are since Im a PC freak, the idea is to than use mac over the PC for good....To bad I can't demo the software in the meantime :confused-

am playing guys..hope pc heads dont get pissed off..
Much of the stereotypes for PC problems stem for pre-XP OS days, which granted those pre-XP OS' were pieces of shit, but I cant remember the last time Ive gotten a blue screen on an XP run system. Those that still say PCs get blue screens are livin 5 yrs in the past.
As far as wats better for music production, I cudnt tell ya, but I use my PC laptop for Serato and it screams.
sim - true say. The new x64 is coming out and is out on IRC (beta releases)- I'd like to give that a try...have you heard about it?
