totally disappointed so far..no front facing camera for video conferencing/skype?no background apps? no flash? WTF..i dont see why any iphone owner would buy this
looks like a fail to me...processor sucks, there's no keyboard, it doesn't run a real computer OS..WACK
shouldve been much closer to a macbook instead of the iphone..im sooo annoyed..the only way this would be worth buying is if it was <$200

fanboys will. i mean, it is more practical then a itouch/phone for reading, browsing, surfing. right now people do that with their phones while sitting in a park in nyc... now u'll see people doing it and showing it off. maybe u can have a app called frisby that will show a picture of a frisby on the screen, and then u throw the iPad like a frisby to your friend.
anyhow, in terms of innovation - there are 0 here. their direct cost of investment in making thir product is 0. its all free money basically. they've just scaled up the screen and added some things here and there, and viola. free money. brilliant.
my dad likes the itouch... he says he'd use it if it was bigger for casual reading, browsing. this would be something he'd like i think.
im soo surprised theres no camera..that was a huge deal breaker IMO..i mean even with a camera there was little to be excited about seeing its the same OS as the iphone..but at least it wouldve been nice to have the ability to video chat..supposedly they have a camera kit accessory but wtf i dont wanna attach anything..it should be built in

I'm not speechless by the presentation of this iPad. The design is surely something to love but it's definitely missing some key features: No HD support, cameras or flash, just to name a few. The latter is a serious mistake, similar to the iPhone's lack thereof. I hope the 4G will correct it. Software and product updates I'm sure will minimize this sour taste of a release for me but I can't see myself jumping overboard for this. I did it for the iPhone 'cause this a device of a serious evolution.
Oh, wait, an extra $30/month for 3G connectivity. Fantastic...as if my bill with AT&T already wasn't a ballbuster every month...

pretty lame..Actually, I think its more targeted towards kindles and other ebook reader market. I know this can totally kill kindle's marketing with integration with digital books etc.
I would NEVER use this thing as a mobile solution. Nothing beats a small 11.6 inch netbook.
