That was an interesting read. Thanks for posting that. But I'm surprise they didn't tie in the significance Osama had tied to the Twin Towers, the attack was clearly concieved for several years. But American troops blew up two towers in Lebenon I think, and that cause the gears in Osama's head to do the same to the twin towers.

peta please don't quote bin laden as a credible reference for anything. Everything the guy says is carefully constructed propaganda. You remember how he was claiming innocence after 9/11 and then last year he admitted he was behind it?

I really doubt the towers in lebanon was the reason they went after the twin towers. If you are going to attack an important monument in america, the twin towers is going to be at the top of the list. According to the link sunny posted Bin laden had plans to attack america even when america was funding him in afghanistan. It says in 1989 that he wanted to use the money they made in afghanistan for a war against the west. The economic power of america must be destroyed to realize the caliphate. Thats this "jihad/war on terrorism" in a nutshell. The key symbol of america's economic power is the twin towers.

i honestly forget where i heard about Lebanon, i knew the towers were hit because of its economic status..i thought he claimed it sooner than just last year..thanks for pointing that out...

whats interesting is no where is Saddam Hussein name or his existence is present... makes you think, they went after Saddam, and still haven't gotten Osama.

you're missing the point. I posted that link to show how bin laden will change his story to suit whatever new propaganda he's trying to push. He says its the towers in lebanon but honestly I think if the towers in lebanon never fell the WTC would still be a pretty huge target for him. He's just trying to make any attack on his part look like retaliation instead of a carefully planned agenda to bring back the caliphate.
