  Most of the episode is portrayed from the perspective of Ichigo's classmate, Mizuiro Kojima. His mother doesn't seem to have the time to talk to him, let alone see him. He is offered a ride to his first day of high school from an unknown older woman whom is letting him stay at her house, implying that the series takes place before Ichigo met Rukia. Ichigo is shown skipping breakfast to make it to his first day of high school on time. In Soul Society, Hinamori goes over her reports for a vice-captains' meeting with Aizen. Rangiku Matsumoto drunkenly offers Tōshirō Hitsugaya some sake before dozing off and missing the vice-captains' meeting. Shunsui Kyōraku mentions spring is the best season for hangovers, alluding to the state of several vice-captains. Keigo Asano tracks down Mizuiro and distressingly explains to his friend that Ichigo Kurosaki and Yasutora Sado, supposed "violent punks," have transferred to their school. Mizuiro then mentions that they are in class 1-3, and Keigo discovers, much to his dismay, that Ichigo and Sado are in their class as well. Orihime Inoue, Tatsuki Arisawa, and Chizuru Honshō interact in Class 1-3 while a dead girl Ichigo brings flowers to tells him that the sky seems scary and ominous to her. Karin Kurosaki seems to feel the same negative vibes from staring at the sky before leaving for school. Meanwhile in Soul Society, the vice-captains agree on letting Rukia Kuchiki replace the current soul moderator in District 3600, Karakura Town. Renji Abarai is also promoted from a sixth seat in the Eleventh Division to the empty place of vice-captain in the Sixth Division. Back in Karakura Town, Ichigo and Sado beat up several of the school bullies while Mizuiro mentally goes over a strange happiness from meeting Ichigo for the first time. Later, Rukia senses several strong evil spirits and takes off into the night, much like in the first episode.

i was getting really excited thinking we were heading back to ichi vs ulqi battle...oh weller.

yeah the last storyline episode, in the end, they had a little preview of ichigo and ulq, and it looks nasty, like dammit im so pissed that we have to wait like forever for them to get back to the storyline, i wonder how long this filler is, prolly long cuz the anime is so close to the manga.... ffs...

yah its true...oh weller...at least it's not so far behind like naruto.

The anime just refreshes my memory of the manga when i watch it.
